Recently, the waste heat boiler project for the 700,000-ton-per-year sulfuric acid production line in Jinchuan, Gansu, constructed by Nanjing Huadian, was officially put into operation. This marks a significant breakthrough in energy efficiency for the world's largest single-series acid production facility equipped with a waste heat recovery system. The project team overcame challenges in integrating ultra-large equipment and achieved seamless integration between the waste heat boiler and the acid production process through an intelligent control system. The heat transfer efficiency has been improved by over 20% compared to conventional equipment, setting a benchmark for the green transformation of the non-ferrous metal smelting industry. This achievement not only reinforces Jinchuan's leading position in the field of metallurgical environmental engineering but also injects strong momentum into the regional circular economy industrial chain.
