The raw gas waste heat recovery system for the 2×55-hole 6-meter top-charging coke oven ascending pipes in the East District of Gangjiao Chemical Plant entered the installation and commissioning phase in early May 2018. By November 22, all 110 holes had been put into normal operation. At present, the system is running stably, and the steam output far exceeds the design expectation. The average working pressure of the steam drum is 1.5~1.8MPa (design pressure 2.5MPa), and the saturated steam output of the system reaches more than 18T/h, realizing the improvement of the steam grade from raw gas heat recovery. The steam production pressure can reach 2.5MPa, and the heat recovered per ton of coke is much higher than that of coke oven waste heat recovery in the same industry.
In the early stage of system installation, one ascending pipe was cracked due to misoperation by insulation workers. It has now been repaired and has been operating stably for more than two months.
