During the Lunar New Year holiday, the 18-million-kilocalorie steam-heated thermal oil system project undertaken by our company for the main plant of Huafang Co., Ltd. was successfully put into operation at one go. After the preliminary design, production, installation, and cold/hot testing phases, the system began normal operation on February 12, 2019, with a total duration of approximately four months.

This project utilizes high-temperature, high-pressure superheated steam (4.5 MPa, 450°C) from Huafang’s Power Branch to heat the thermal oil used in the production process. The circulating temperature of the thermal oil must be maintained between 240°C and 260°C, with a total heat exchange capacity of 18 million kilocalories. Due to the stringent requirements of national environmental policies and the guidelines for transitioning to new energy sources, the coal-fired oil furnace quotas in the region have been eliminated. Our company’s system provides a novel solution to such challenges. Compared to natural gas-fired systems, this setup can save over 40 million yuan in annual costs.
